Hello. I hope you had a great weekend. I watched Gladiator over my friend Jay’s house on Friday night. Good movie, a little long, but good. That inspired me to buy Spartacus, now that’s a long film! You know you’re in for a long ride when the film takes an intermission! On Saturday I went to Ikea, again, with Jay. After that I went to the store and bought vegetables and food for my diet. I’ll save the details of that for my “Bob’s Diet” page, coming at the end of this week. I will say that I made it through the weekend without cheating.

Sunday, I had problems starting the Skylark.

It just doesn’t like the cold start anymore. I hope it’s nothing serious. It turns but doesn’t turnover. Something isn’t catching. Having a car is great but when something goes at this late stage it usually costs $500 — $500 that Uncle Bobby doesn’t have. I’ve been thinking about going into debt and just buying a Jeep. Most people think about getting out of debt, I think of ways to get into it. Such is life.

I want to give a shout out to Jay. He gave me his old TV because it was broken and because he was getting a new one. He thought it was done for. I took it to the TV repair store and they fixed it, for a good price. I forgot the name but it’s the store in Hoboken between 5th and 6th. Anyway, I watched a lot of TV. TV Land had a marathon of Chico and the Man. I watched about 5 of those shows. I also saw a little of Harry and Tonto with Art Carney. It was really great. OK, have a great Monday. Tell me about your weekend on my message board.
